About Scholarships 

The Colorado Academy of Educators for the Gifted Talented and Creative awards three scholarships to teachers who have a demonstrated commitment to a career in Gifted Education. Applicants must be pursuing a graduate degree or endorsement in Gifted Education. The Academy Teacher Scholarship will provide up to $500 to selected recipients. One scholarship will be awarded in honor of Shirley Weddel, one scholarship in honor of Julie Gonzales, and a third scholarship will be awarded on behalf of the Academy members in Memoria. 

Jacquelin Medina Visionary Leadership Award

The Colorado Academy of Educators for the Gifted, Talented, and Creative, in collaboration with CAGT and the Gifted Education Regional Consultants (GERCs) will be awarding the Jacquelin Medina Visionary Leadership Award. The award honors leadership action in schools, districts, and at the state level for the benefit of gifted students and their families. The award may be used to offset the cost of professional development growth, gifted education endorsement coursework, and gifted education institutes or conferences.
